The requirement
Flat door skins and cabinet panels finished with a UV coating system, at a throughput one operator can keep loaded, with film thickness repeatable across a full shift.
Line sequence
- 1. Sanding and dust removal. A double-sided dust remover clears sanding dust from both faces before any coating is applied.
- 2. UV putty fill. A double roller coater fills open pores and grain, followed by UV curing and sanding.
- 3. Primer. A single roller coater lays the primer coat at a set roller gap.
- 4. IR levelling and UV curing. An IR levelling tunnel flows the film out before the dual-lamp UV curing oven.
- 5. Top coat and stacking. Final roller coat, UV cure, then panels return by roller conveyor to the loading end.
Why this configuration
Rollering every coat keeps paint transfer close to 100 percent, which is what makes a UV system affordable at volume. Because door skins are flat, no spray stage is needed — the whole line runs from one conveyor drive with a single set of controls.
Adapting it
The same sequence scales to 1600 mm and 1800 mm panel widths, and a reciprocating sprayer can be inserted after the primer stage when profiled doors run on the same line.
